Default Brake fluid: dot3 or dot4?

As per title, it doesn't say on the manual and I can't find any useful info anywhere on the net, not even here.

It should be a simple question for most of you here, right?

Pacifica 2004

Thanks so much!

DOT 4 has superseded DOT 3 in most cases.

Thanks!

So I should replace it because I don't know what's in it, or you think it's already dot4?

Just trying to figure out if mine is one of those "cases".

Thanks!

DOT 4 has been the standard since 2006 and is fully compatible with older DOT 3

OK, sounds good, so you think I can top up with Dot4 regardless of what I have already in the system? I know it would be better to flush the whole system, but otherwise, they can mix, right?

Thanks!
