Default Can Headlights come on with wiper usage?

Anyone know if the headlights can be set up to come on when the wipers are on?
Or do I have to take it to a dealer for software reset?
I didnt see anything in the maunal on it.

I know quite a few States require this now, with varying degrees of enforcement.
I wonder if daytime running lights only would qualify as headlight usage under some statutes?

On the 04's it was in the set up menu on the dash.. scroll with the menu button next to the clock, when the headlight wiper question is asked you can press "step" to change yes or no.

Darn, found the answer in the book 2nd time around, its available with auto dim headlights only in the 07 model. Now I'll have to look up the threads on the AutoDim Headlights... I think that also requires the Auto Darken rear mirror.
Thanks though MrFixit454.

From the Manual:
"Headlamp On With Wipers? (Available with Auto Headlights Only) "
When this feature is selected and the headlight switch has at least once been moved to the AUTO position, the headlights will turn on in approximately 10 seconds when the wipers are turned on.
The headlights will also turn off when the wipers are turned off if they were turned on in this way. Pressing the STEP button when in this display will select “Yes” or “No.”

Ok, a quick search shows at least 2 components needed for getting the lights on with the wipers...I think this project is going to the back burner, I didnt even include the outside drivers mirror yet, or a possible air bag component which relates to the auto headlight feature

HeadLight Combo switch W/auto headlamps - W/fog lamps $62

Auto dimming mirror w/ auto headlamp -$331

On my 04, just as you mentioned, the headlight switch must be set in the AUTO-ON position.
But that has nothing to do with auto dim headlights.
At least not on an 04.

As far as anything else, I'm not sure that you need the auto dimming mirror.

Forgot to mention that I had the auto headlights however I thought the headlights on with wipers was a law now.

Sorry I meant to say "Auto on Headlights" not "Auto Dim Headlights", my mistake.

The sensor for the "Auto On Headlights" is in the "Auto Dim Mirror", which is required for the "Headlights on with Wipers" option.

I don't really think the Driver's outside mirror would be required for upgrade, but I was suprised to see an airbag component listed (Restraint systems - Air bag components - Clockspring - W/auto headlamps- $210 )
I don't have a clue what this part is, any ideas?

It is a law in most states but it doesn't have to be automatic. It's a nice feature, I have it on both my '07 Pac & my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

I was not implying automatic, just that you turn wipers on and headlights come on w/ them. Sounds like Chrysler decided to only supply the feature when the car has auto headlights.

I just looked in my 04-06 service manual. Did they skimp in 2007?

I found later in the service manual where is mentioned that you needed the auto headlights to have the wiper feature so it was the same in the earlier models too.
