Default Can I fit 16 inch rims on a Pacifica ???

I am trying to get a more comfortable ride for the winter by putting 16 inch rims from a 2003-2005 Grand Cherokee on my 2005 Pacifica which came with 17's. Has anyone done it ? The bolt pattern is supposed to be the same but I don't want to buy the rims only to find out they don't fit. Any relevant advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't think the brakes will fit inside 16 inch rims.

the brakes "should" clear a 16" rim, but you NEED to make sure the wheel's offset form the Jeep is the exact same. Also, you need to compensate the tire diameter on the 16" rim for the stock 17" tire. Which usually, would mean a taller tire...

But in the end? Why? If you are going through the hassle of buying some smaller wheels, with whatever for tires... why not just buy a new set of quality tires that match your need?
