Cool 3 mo. owner of 07 4.0 liter touring

I have to say compared to my volvos of the past, I find the pacifca a very nice replacement. I have not found any real problems in the 3mo. since we have owned it. I will say when looking to buy one, have them checked out thourghly!!. and if possible get service history from dealer. also don't be afraid to test EVERYTHING before you sign the papers. there are a lot of systems on these vehicles and can get costly to repair. But from reading this form and from my own experience so far I found if you are on top of your preventetive maintenance they are great vehicles. even with the small issues I have had it always gets us there. BTW (2007 fwd 4.0 liter 39000 miles, from Michigan). I have found one thing that is a Dodge issue across the board... front end parts! HAVE THEM CHECKED REGULARLY ! the dealer replaced worn parts on ours just before we bought it. I also found my dodge dakota has short life span for front end parts. and my brothers v6 sxt magnum has the same issue. once again other than that. I find the Pacifica a very nice vehicle and would reccomend it to others. Just my 2 cents. Todd B.

We had a leased 2005 Pacifica that we encountered zero problems with and only routine maintenance in its three years with us.
On our 2008 Pacifica - one issue with the driver side roof rack not fitting properly - adjusted at dealer no cost, and dash vent that cannot be adjusted - no replacement at dealer available - Chrysler backorder.
Only other minor issue is a crooked rear wiper that I am trying to figure out how to adjust.
We run ours with Mobil 1 synthetic and now have 45000+ miles on our 2008 with no other issues. Averaging 27mpg highway, 23 in around town.

We have updated results for the Chrysler Pacifica to include owner experiences through September 30, 2010. Other sources of car reliability information won't cover the months since April until the summer or even fall of next year.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2007: 83

2006: 122

2005: 118

2004: 129

The 2007 is about average, while the others are worse than average. Small sample sizes for the 2004 and 2006.

Thank you, once again, to everyone who has been helping. We'll have further updates in February and May. With more participants, we could provide more precise information and cover all model years.

Was the opinion on the tranny from someone who had checked out this particular car?
