Default Clunking Noise

I have a 2005 Pacifica Touring Model. When I start off; I hear one clunk noise. When I am come to a full stop; I hear the same noise. Tranny? Brakes?

I had it to an independent shop before buying it. I said that they could not find the source of the noise but everything seemed to be working correctly.

This is a common problem with no obvious solution at this time. My 2005 does the same thing and I had it at the dealer and they changed the the control arms, bushings and end links. When I was driving out of the dealer after the work was done it started making the noise again. Some say it could be the axle nut that's not torqued correctly. They say you should take off the nut, grease the splines, and retorque the nut to 180 lbs. I have not had a chance to do this yet but I have to bring it to the dealer for other issues so I'm going to have them check it again and see also if they can check the torque on those nuts.
