Default electrical issues please help.

2005 pacifica. At random times the abs traction control and brake light will come on. Then the radio heat/ac wipers windows accessory plugs and horn all stop working. There's also a clicking coming from the fuse panel under the hood. Any ideas on the problem? It may stay like that for a few miles or days. My windows are currently stuck down and it's supposed to rain tomorrow.

There are several electrical issues with Pacificas as I'm finding out (I bought my '05 a month ago). I love the car just things like this are irritating. If you haven't tried this already disconnect the negative (NEG) battery cable for about 10 minutes. This may not be the fix for your issues but may allow the computors to reset to get your windows closed.

From the description of your problems the longer term remedy would be to replace the positive (POS) battery cable. There's a writeup on here to do so. It seems Daimler-Chrysler decided to use a plastic crimped cable and with age the crimp breaks down. This isn't on all cars though. You don't really have to completly remove the stock cable if you don't want to. You have to remove the battery and the main fuse panel is hinged. I wish i could find the link on the writeup for you. Also the negative cables have issues.

I've tried that. Removed both positive and negative. Didn't help. Also I think both cables have been replaced before I got the car. They look fairly new.

Take the battery and its tray out. The is a ground wire under there and they tend to corrode alot. It might need a good cleaning. There is posts here concerning this. Might not fix everything but worth a try.
