06 Pacifica Transmission Issue
while driving at about 50 or over, when I accelerate the cars starts to shudder unless I accelerate very slowly.
also today when I pulled off the highway after doing 75, it was stuck in what appeared to be 2nd gear.
put it in auto stick and all the lights were lit and the gear read 8
I turned off the car and restarted it. then it shifted normal from 1st

Take this for what its worth - I had similar problems with shuddering at 55 mph and drove my 2008 in autostick for months to try to avoid it. One day while trying to accelerate quickly at a merge point, I got a cylinder misfire and lit up all check engine lights, flashing on and off. I changed all the plugs at 160K miles (probably 1st time they were ever changed) and the gaps were gigantic due to erosion of the top wire. When I put new double-platinums in, all my hard clunky shifts and shuddering problems went away. Its a cheap fix worth trying.

The research I just did said the problem is usually the Input Speed Sensor.
Buy a genuine Mopar sensor, because Chrysler products do not like aftermarket sensors.
It should be on the front side of the transmission, closest to the engine.
I believe one post said they used a 1" socket to change it.
I hope that helps!
