Default Fuel Gauge

Seeing if anyone had a similar issue with their fuel gauge and fixed it. My fuel gauge seems to be a half tank off. When I fill it up it stays at full for awhile but then after awhile it will tick down but once it gets to a little more than half a tank, you can watch it drop and to E and the gas light goes on. sometimes it will jump back up to half a tank then drop again to E and turn the light on. I know these things have two sending units but not sure how they work. Seeing if anyone has any insight on this.

You may or may not have already come across this in searching https://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/...-trouble-1361/
It sounds like it covers the issue with the fuel gauge. The issue with the speedometer may be the cluster. It also could be the PCM not seeing it or the output sensor.

I did check with the dealer after reading that and they said mine had a different/updated system in it. What I don't think they understand is it has a new PCM...soooooo probably wasn't updated. For now I will just keep checking things out. Knowing this SUV it probably is a ground issue....
