Default Fuel Level Sensor

I have a 2004 Pacifica with a little over 60k miles. The engine light just came on and I went to Auto Zone to have them run the diagnostic. The guy there said that it is the Fuel Level Sensor. Is there a recall for this or can I pick up the part and fix it myself? Any help would be appreciated.

Talked to the local Chrysler dealer. Said there were no recalls. Told me I could bring it in and they could diagnose it for $95. Any other suggestions?

My brother in law used to be a mechanic. Together we could probably do it if I had some instruction.
