So the mechanic told me that my fuel pumps are bad and thats why my 04 pacifica won't start.
My confusion comes with the fact that this whole week I've been trying to correct the p0016 code.
which i thought was the cause of my problem since my neughbor checked it out with his little code puller.
I changed both the cam and crankshaft sensors still nothing so i call a mobile mechanic he comes out and says its the fuel pumps. he plugs his obd2 equipment says he got low fuel pressure. So he uses some strarter spray it turns on but sounds like its having an epilectic attack . Does anyone know if that is at all possible? In the process he says that both pumps have to be replaced. Am I being taken for a ride? Because my vehicle sure hasn't been taken for one. He gave me an estimate of $700 Is that in the ballpark for something like this? help me I don't know anything.

 

vary possible yes U might also have the recall on the fuel pumps call a local dealer with your vin and they can tell u if the recall applies to your car or not.
