Default Harmonic Balancer

Hi All,

I am trying to remove a wobbly harmonic balancer (2004 Pacifica, 3.5 FWD) but I can't seen to get the claws of the puller behind the spokes of the balancer. It seems the claws are too thick to fit between the pulley spokes and the timing belt cover. Anyone have any tips on getting the claws to grip?

FYI, I am using this puller from AutoZone: OEM/Chrysler harmonic dampener puller 27139- Read3Reviews onOEM #27139

I am not sure what the difference would be, but I have been successful with
this kit from Lisle this kit from Lisle
.

its the right one to use the area is small get all teh arms around it then use a zip tie to wrap around teh arms and it will hold them in place until its broken loose and it wont pop off.

One i used on a 4.0 had three flat arms and had flat curled bottoms ... o'riley's let you use one call a store and they tell you the one that carries chrysler tools..
