Has anyone tried an ABS Scanner with Pacifica 2006 ?
Hello everyone.
I'm kinda new here. I bought Pacifica 06 in April 2009. So far its working like a charm and I love my car. However I am facing one problem. My ABS MIL is coming up randomly. Sometimes it shows up and sometimes it doesn't. I think most probably its a bad sensor and I wanna diagnose which sensor is malfunctioning.
I bought Actron CP9449 ABS Scan Tool and found out it was of no use as it doesn't support Pacifica models even after the internet upgrade. I also found out that OTC's ABS Tools do not support Pacifica models.
Do you guys know if some other ABS Scanner works with the Pacifica model? I'm unable to find any information on the internet.
Thanks !

lol finally a reply after almost an year...well I tried finding some more Scanners but they can't diagnose ABS sensors...btw one funny thing I noticed that I did not get the ABS MIL during the winter, as soon as the weather became a little bit warm, I am getting the MIL again....I am assuming its a bad sensor which is effected by the temperature...will try to use the heat gun on the wheels to diagnose the particular sensor...I'll let you know if I make any progress.

I have done a bit of research for the same problem. The Pacifica ABS system is a little different from an electronic standpoint. It is even different from many other models in the Chrysler line - as you found with your Actron scanner - It will scan your neighbor's 300 but not the Pacifica. In the looking around I did, there were no consumer level scanners that would read the protocol that the Pacifica's use.

I am going to unhook each sensor at the wiring harness connector and do a resistance(ohms) check and see if I get a different reading on one. otherwise i am the mercy of the local shop to run it on the scanner($45) which isn't to bad.
