New tires - sensors reset?

New tires - sensors reset?
I just installed new tires on my '04 Pacifica. The old tires had less of a maximum air pressure rating than the new ones do. I am now getting a message on my tire sensors saying they are overfilled, when in fact they are filled to the appropriate amount for the new tires. The tires size is the same as the old ones, but they are a different brand.
The maximum pressure on the new tires is 51 psi. I think the old tires had a max of 44 psi.
Is there some way to reset this sensor for the new air pressure on the new tires?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

dont tell me u put 51 psi of air in the tires.
put 35 in no more no less. FYI when it says make amount of air like U are reading that means the tire will bust if u put more then that in there it does not mean u put that amount in there.

air pressure
When we picked up the car the light said "one tire high pressure". I asked the tire guy and he came out and let some air out. I think he had them at 44-46 psi. They are now at 40 psi all around. so if the tire says 51 psi max that doesn't mean keep them at 51 psi.
you are saying 35 psi is fine for these tires right? I always wondered what is the true pressure for a specific tire and why would the tire pressure change if the size is the same.
thanks for your help...
