Default Pacifica AC fan noise

Hello folks, new here. My wife's car, 2005 Pacifica has an interesting problem. The AC fan is really loud. Has some droning sound coming from it...you here it more when you recirculate the air. Anyone else have this issue?

I did a search on this site for fan noise and I didn't see anything similar to what we are hearing.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Thanks, I suspected that, we had some very small leaf's fall on one of our trees. Is that motor easy to take off and inspect? Is there lots of trim to take off to get the blower out?

Any tips ?

I'm pretty handy...thanks

I recently changed the AC filter in the 07 Pac and in the wife's 07Entourage.

The fan "basket" is adjacent to the filter and I cannot adequately describe how much crap a mouse had stuffed into this cavity on her van.

Literally a gallon paint can amount of pink insulation and one inch dog biscuits ( hundreds). The little critters can get anywhere.

It didn't make noise until "after" I got the junk out. Probably a bearing or bent shaft.

Had the same problem with my pac.. Every time I set the a/c to recirculate the blower motor would sound horrible... One day I changed the Interior A/C filter and a ton of tiny leaves fell out... The sound was almost gone... a few leaves where still up in there... so I took my shop-vac and a small crevice tool and sucked em all out... no noise

The interior filter is located under the passenger side glove compartment. There you will find an elongated black plastic clip that will have to be pushed/slid out to remove filter... Make sure your vehicle is off when you do this... the Filter should slid right out... Hope this helps...
