Default RBP Model Radio and MP3's

I recently purchased an '06 Pacifica, and love using the CD/CD Changer for MP3 discs to have a massive collection of music on hand. The only problem is, that I can't find any way to display the song or folder information on my radio. The Pacifica owners manual covers this info for the REV and RAH model radios, but there's no info for the RBP model radio. I can't believe that the highest-end radio they put in the car doesn't support the same basic features as the lower end ones, so I must be missing something. Any ideas on how to display title/artist/track/folder info would be supremely appreciated. Thank you!

I have the same problem. The mp3's play just fine but I couldn't find anyway to activate the tag display. The display is capable of displaying text as it shows song names using Sirius Sat radio.

Yes I've a 2006 and don't get the TAG from either the CD or the DVD. I read in the manual that it follows the ISO format but it didn't say 8.3 or 255 for the file name....maybe that's it.
I'll burn a CD with different TAGs and see what I can come up with.

Dealer has not commented on this problem. I showed him even with a commercial CD it will not show the ID on either the regular CD player or the 6disc DVD...
He said to call Sirius and see if it's their problem.
BS
I'm going to demand they replace it until it starts working.

I also have both the single cd player and the 6 dvd changer in my 06 Pacifica. The single cd player will not play mp3's but the dvd changer will. As I mentioned before it does not display the id3 tags. Something else very interesting. My dealer replaced my dvd changer due to a video problem and replaced it with dvd changer that uses RF headphones vs. IR headphones. The RF version did NOT play MP3's. Simply showed ERROR after trying to read the CD for a while. I had them order me a new IR unit as the RF unit's headphones never got a good signal and also since I do listen to mp3's.

Well, went to the dealer today and they checked my radio/CD and got the code off it. They will order a new CD/FM reciever since it has the display. It is not showing any title/artist info for anything but FM stations. My DVD will play MP3's but will not show any info except the track # and time. It is a RBP.

Concerning the RBP and Sirius radios.
I just found on a Jeep site that the Sirius needs an extra module called a RB1 to enable the CD player to show artist and title. It is Part# 82208322 Sirius Satellite Radio/RB1 Audio System Adapter $30.00US $30.25US

RB1 adapter for Sirius and RBP

I'm not sure if the RB1 navigation radio is the one in the Pac or not. This is for the 2000-2004 Jeeps.
I have the 2006 PAC and the Sirius does not show anything. Neither does any regular CD or MP3 (see above posts)

Hi
Your lucky your RBP radio plays mp3s I contacted Chrysler and they told me the RBP model radio does not play mp3s. How did you get your to play them? I'm like yourself I have a large colection of music I would love to play on the road .
By the way I contacted the dealer on replacing my RBP with one that plays mp3s and it would cost $900

Sorry buddy, mine plays it from dealer as it should. If you really look at the owners manual it will tell you the features of the RBP model. I've discovered that this unit, which has the DVD changer and sirius modes, has apparently ran out of buttons and thus does not have a display/title button. The other models have this but have other buttons not dedicated to the other fuctions.

Does this mean that the CD/DVD changer that is below the radio has the ability to play MP3's even if the radio does not?
