Default Serpentine Belt/AC Compressor

So the bearing on the AC compressor pulley is going. Its squeals like crazy. Given that winter is getting settled in here, i want to skip out on replacing the compressor right now. Has anyone ever bypassed the compressor(with a shorter belt) and if so, what belt did you use?

Thanks

First, take a ribbon and some tape and make sure the new routing will work. Then measure the correct length of ribbon. Then get friendly with the guys at the local parts store and find a belt of the correct length. (Promise them you'll come back in the spring and buy the new clutch/compressor.) Bring your own measuring tape.
Come back and brag about your success.

Well I finally got around to changing it. So i used DAYCO Part # 5060810 from my local part store. Belt is 81 Inches long( Stock belt is 97 Inches long). Works like a charm for now(only been on the car for an hour). Belt is nice & tight once the tension is reapplied.
