Tapping into factory amp 06 pacifica

RE: Tapping into factory amp 06 pacifica
The 200W will not work. It only has 7 channels and no output for the sub. 7 channels = 2 front tweeters, 2 front speakers, 1 center channel dash speaker, 2 rear speakers. The upgraded amp is 385W and 8 channels. This will not give you thundering BASS! It does make a big difference in the overall sound quality. Sirius is not the best quality. My IPOD sounds amazing.
I purchased everything from the dealer. All parts with tax was $744.55. There are a few posts on this forum where people have had luck finding used parts on EBAY or salvage yards. I am too impatient. Here were the part numbers from my invoice:
4685876AL AMPLIFIER $325
4685910AC HOUSING $275
4685972AB SPEAKER-SUB $91
There is a screw you need to mount the housing that my dealer could not find. I used one of screws from the rear storage tray. You will also need to find/purchase screws to mount the speaker in the housing.
The car is prewired for the sub and the amp is plug and play. It was VERY easy to install. I think it took me about 30 mins. I could to it again in 10mins.
1) Unsnap the plastic trim off that covers the rear latch and open the storage tray . . .
2) Disconnect the Sirius box if you have one. It just slides to the left to take out.
3) Remove the felt lining by taking out 3 plastic fasteners (careful, I broke one of mine)
4) Remove 4 screws that hold the tray, take out tray. (you will see the amp on the right)
5) Unsnap the large plastic panel over the left rear wheel well. You will need to unsnap it all the way to the second row.
6) Swap the amp by removing / replacing 4 screws and unplugging/plugging wiring harness'
7) Plug in the sub housing to the prewired harness hanging inside the wheel well toward the rear of the car.
8) Mount the subwoofer with one of the screws from the storage tray.
9) Connect the speaker and mount the speaker in the housing.
10) Put it all back together and enjoy!

I just bought a new amp and subs and a 2 channel line converter for 05 pacifica touring awd. Im thinking I can hook the line converter to the factory amp is this correct and can I also hook the remote wire to the ign/acc wire, by the way this forum is great!

Wiring issue for amp
I have the 05 Pacifica wiring diagram but I am still not sure how the amp wires connect to the radio harness in the dash. I do not have an amp integration harness and wondered if anyone could help with the details on wiring.
