Default Tire Sensor

I am driving around on my spare, and have done so for months now, due to the fact that I need a new tire sensor. Part #5127335AE. My dealer tells me that 3,500 have been on order since January. I do not understand what the problem is. I have called Chrysler Customer Service, who promised to resolve this for me, but have not heard back from them. Has anyone else dealt with this problem?

Any ideas?

I checked myself, YES they are on backorder. 3200 of them now...none in the pipeline and no promise date. I would be willing to bet the vendor went out of business. Welcome to our new economy. Manufacturing is dead in America. Thank you D.C. !!! When you do fianlly get one it will probably have Made In CHINA stamped on it.

Default Tire Sensor - Finally In

Well, after waiting since January, as the sensors were on "Galactic Backorder" I finally had it installed. I had to put a regular valve in, in the meantime, as I was driving around on a spare. Of course, that was extra to have removed. I'm very dissatisfied with Chrysler these days. Also, my power seats stopped working, and apparently this is common, and requires a new motor, etc. which costs over $500. The only way to fix it is to disconnect the battery, and reconnect it. I think there is something funky going on electrically with this car - something is draining the battery. Anyway, for those of you waiting for Sensors - they are now in.
