hey guys, heading from ontario,canada. to fremont, california. going to to tow a 5x10 u-haul trailer about 2,600 miles. anyone have any suggestions or concerns about this. Have towed my boat long distance with my Ram 1500 and am aware about staying out of OD unless on pretty flat stretch of highway. Should this be a concern towing the u-haul with the pacifica. Just curious on what yous all have to say about it. Thanks, Fred

 

The now cool/cold weather should help and maybe you should do a "test" short tow trip beforehand just to see how everything works out. Please read my msg. about the Pac. transmissin problem. I would like you to please check this out in person at a shop to see if you would want to do this maint. Go to " BGfindashop.com" and enter your zip code to find someone near you. Your engine probably won't work too hard but your trans. will be working harder than you can feel it doing. Treat it with respect. Glad you have experience doing other towing before. Thanks for the reply and the heads up on the tranny , actually a year and a half ago i had the tranny rebuilt because of shifting problems, dealer tried to give me a hard time about it but ended up covering the full cost thankfully. will do a test run like you say , good idea , then its an oil change and away i go. thanks again Barbara
