Hello folks,I work as a mechanic for a little shade tree type shop and we have a cruiser in our shop that came in for a timing belt replacement,we replaced the belt and have been trying to get it to crank,we replaced the starter the starter switch, checked all the fuses and relays,we can jump the starter and it will crank and we get spark, the fuel pump kicks on but no injector pulse. Now what Im wondering is,could the PCM be bad? I have checked and rechecked all grounds and everything is good.
I have been wondering if the nuetral safety switch in the trans could be bad,but we have reverse lights and I can put it in nuetral with still no crank.
Help, this thing is turning into a black hole and we are making no money off this thing and right now I just want this thing gone from my sight, lol.Any ways any help or pointers will be apprciated both from me and the boss man.

Just time to replace it.we were looking under the dash and there is a cable running from the key switch to the shifter and on that cable is a barrel thingy with two wires running into it and we noticed that barrel thing gets kinda hot to the touch.think that might have something to do with it?
so this was a man made issue why would U even say something like a PCM is bad when it ran coming in and what ever u did now it wont run its simple go back and look at what U did wrong.

Ok we kinda got it figured out but its still doing it.The customer has another PT but they wrecked it,me and the boss went over and snagged the ECM from the wrecked one.We got it back to the shop and I was looking at the ECM from the wrecked PT and it has the VIN from the car we have in the shop,I looked at the ECM in the car we have at the shop and the VIN is different...hummmm maybe we are on to something here,I hooked up the "new" ECM from the wrecked one and she cranked and started,WOW! 5 or 6 times later we went to crank it,and we are back to having a no crank issue. What gives?
No help on this from any one?come on guys throw me a bone,if you don't know or have never heard of this issue at least let me know so I can peruse other options.
Like I said it was doing it before it came in our shop.
