Default 2002 pt cruiser starter problem

I have a 2002 PT Cruiser that one day the starter stopped working brought the old starter to Autozone and was told it works fine but i still bought a new one in which the next day it stopped working again it just clicks, i then took the postive wire off the battery and waited 30 sec and put it back on and she fires right up this happens once a day now the car is usally up to temp,it dose have a python security system could that be the problem or is it something else

Yeah, those aftermarket ones cause all sorts of issues. If you have the factory alarm and Immobilzer key you don't need it.
