Cool camshaft sensor

OK HERE THE DEAL MY CHRYSLER PT CRUISER 2002. CAR CUTS OFF AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. MY OBD2 COMPUTER SAYS ITS THE CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR SO I REPLACE THAT AND THE CRANK SENSOR SINCE I READ THAT YOU NORMALLY CHANGE BOTH OUT. THEN i NOTICED MY IGNITION COIL WOULD NOT FIRE UP. SO i REPLACED THAT TO CAR IS STILL THE SAME AND OBD 2 STILL SAYS THE SAME. I NEED HELP

Under the camshaft position sensor you will find the target magnets. These sometimes get cracked and need to be replaced. They are what the sensor is looking for. If they fail, you will get the same code as you would if the camshaft position sensor failed.

If the computer gets no signal from the sensor it will not put out a spark, so that is why you are not getting anything from the coil.

Check those target magnets. Failing that, it could be a wiring problem in the sensor circuit.
