Default PT cruiser GT engine.

As I understand it, the PT Cruiser GT has the same engine and tranny as the SRT-4, so why can't you use the staged performance upgrades ( stages 1,2,&3 ) on the PT? Is there any reason they wouldn't work?

Dang! It would be really cool to make an SRT-4 PT Cruiser.

i know the short blocks are the same as well as the heads but like i said before its all the controllers that differ from pt to srt-4
it sucks but unless you got a ton of money to swap all the srt-4 stuff to a pt then we ara ll out of luck.

The Long block is the same, exhaust manifold, turbo, O2 housing. The transmissions are different, the entire intake system is different and has an extra sensor in it. So the SRT-4 Stage kits don't work.
Also remember that the SRT-4 doesnt come with Traction control or have an option for Automatic transmission, more reasons why it wont work
