Question 2000 Sebring Conv JXI, electrical problem

I have a 2000 Sebring Conv JXI with 87,000 miles. The vehicle runs great mechanically but the gauge panel zeros out randomly and will start working again whenever it feels like it. Does anyone have any idea what could cause this problem and how to fix it. I can't afford to keep sinking money into the car. I would like to sell it but no one will buy it with this problem and every time we try to sell it at a car lot they refuse because they can't see how many miles it has. Please help!
