Default 2001 Sebring shuts off when driving

My 2001 Sebring will just die while driving. Each time, after a couple of minutes, it will start back up. Guessing my luck will, sooner or later, not allow it to start up. What is the problem. Thinking its the fuel pump but I am novice at diagnostics. Any thoughts would be appreciated, thanks.

Check for codes. Either with the "key dance" (on-off-on-off-on) or get them read with a code reader at AutoZone or some such place (many auto parts stores will do it for free.)

Some more information would be helpful, like which engine, history of the problem, etc.
