Default 2002 Chrysler Sebring 2.7 Oil Everywhere!

Hey guys.

A gentleman called me up a few weeks ago and complained of oil all over his engine and staining the driveway, I go to check it out, and sure enough there is oil all over the top of the motor, in the crevices of the intake manifold, all over the valve covers, just all over. oil dipstick was reading low also.

I refilled the and drove it to the self wash car wash, gave the engine a good cleaning, in hopes that an oil leak would make itself known after a cleaning. no such luck.

Drove the car about 20 miles and back to his house, not a drop of oil where it shouldn't be.

A few weeks go by, and i get another call, suddenly oil all over the engine again. I saw the driver of this car just a couple days ago and asked her to pop the hood, no oil then either.

Apparently this is the 3rd or 4th time that oil has excused itself from the oil galley and made an appearance on top of the motor.

I am not to familiar with Chrysler motors, and just wondering if anyone has had an issue like this? thoughts? ideas? etc?

Thanks.

Aaron

Having the same problem, replaced the PCB valve. Checked the oil fill cap and dip stick. Could it be the rubber O ring on the cap that's gone bad?

Try revving the engine while watching with the hood up. You might see it coming out.
