Default 2002 chrysler sebring emergency brake

I have a 2002 Sebring sedan that i recently replaced the rear disks, shoes, right rear bearing and e-brake pads and now it feels like the right rear is dragging i believe it is the e-brake as it shows the worst wear and the car is making a rapid thump every time the wheel makes a full rotation ( im assuming this is the e-brake releasing) im wondering if anyone has a schematic of the right rear e-brake setup as i think i have the adjuster in backward or the lead and trailing shoes mixed up. any help would be appreciated thanks

With a dragging parking brake, the first thing to suspect is the cable not releasing. They can get corroded inside and while you can pull on it to set the brake, the return spring may not be able to overcome the friction. You'll need to take it apart again and might need a helper to activate the cable so you can observe it while it releases.

Chapter 9 of the Haynes manual covers replacing and adjusting the parking brakes with lots of pictures. It'd be a good investment. You could also disassemble the other side to look at it and compare it to what you have on the troublesome side.

I have the manual unfortunately it only shows the left setup of the brake assembly and i didnt pay attention to the adjuster placement before i tore into the right side, a rookie mistake anyways im just unclear if the adjuster should face the same side or opposite to the left side also the thumping issue is because of the ebrake drum being out of round the cables on the car move easily and it didnt have any issues before hand just was getting worn out.

Drum brakes of pretty much any sort have a "leading" and "trailing" shoe. They should be symmetrically opposite on opposite sides of the car. The star wheel on the adjuster needs to line up with the access hole in the backing plate.

You should be able to figure it out by looking at the opposite side. I had mine apart several years ago but can't say that I memorized how it's supposed to look.
