I'm going to be picking up a 1998 Chrysler Sebring LXi later on this week from a co-worker, and I just was checking around on some info, and there one thing I couldn't find with the search tool.
What is the recommended interval to change the timing belt? Thanks to the search tool, I did find out that the 2.5 is indeed an interference engine, so I want to start preparing for a timing belt and water pump change...it's most certainly been changed before; the car has 225k miles, and the guy I'm buying it from has had it for 4 years. He's already done a bunch of work to it.
Thanks for any help,
Aaron

Well, I got it home last night. Little clunky up front, and a little crusty underneath, but it's just about fully loaded and runs like a friggin champ.
That's a coupe, right? It's built by Mitsubishi, basically the same car as the Dodge Stealth and Mitsubishi Eclipse coupes.
If you don't know when the last time the belt was changed, then the interval is irrelevant. Change it now.

Trust me, I plan on it. The previous name on the title tells me that it probably wasn't changed.
Yes, it is the coupe. Looks more like the Avenger.
