Default Disabling or Disarming Alarm on 2009 Sebring

I have a factory installed alarm and would like to know how to disable it if/when desired. The old Viper I had on my other car can be disabled by pressing the buttons on the remote a certain way, and then re-enabled by pressing the buttons another way. Can this be done on this alarm? There is a valet button, but believe it or not, the owner's manual makes no mention of how to operate this alarm. They did not give me alarm instructions either after install. I know I should just call the dealer, but I'd prefer to hear from my peers. Thanks!

Mine is an older model but my system does not arm if you don't lock the doors electrically. If you manually lock the door with the inside button, not the switch, the alarm does not operate. Try it and see. Won't cost anything.
