I was driving my car on the highway yesterday when I heard an explosion in my engine - I lost all my coolant on the highway itself.
My engine is not starting since then and I fear that my baby died in my hands.

My mechanic is telling me that it is the block of the engine that ****ed up and that I have to change my engine completely - My engine is the 2.7L V6 one.. I had to have it towed to the garage - today morning we tested the fuel pump and on 6 cylinders, it is having sparks on 5.

can it be that the ECU of the engine has gone on safe mode to prevent the engine from being damaged?

Please HELP!!!>..I can't afford to lose her.. there are 6 new spark plugs and headgasket - we had tested the compression of the cylinders few months back and all was good!!....

your suggestions will be highly appreaciated.!! I do miss her a lot...

are irrelevant compression a few months ago are not the case right now.

What exploded is what u need to see. did the block crack? did some one look at it are they simply guessing at it?

 

the housing connecting the radiator to the engine exploded.. and this is the main reason why she lost all the coolant - can this be a factor to stop the engine from starting?
She is cranking but won't start..it is as if there is something blocking it..

 

they did not go that far to check if the block has cracked or not!! so far they have checked the fuel pump, and the gas is coming. - all spark plugs are having fire...

 

how many miles on the 2.7 prob bent valves because the water pump came apart and jumped time

 

She had 168000Km...and right now I left her sleeping...planning to swap the engine or scrap it...thanks for the guidelines guys!!
