Default I identifying this sensor

Having a little trouble finding out WTF this sensor is, 2006 with a 2.7

the sensor is mounted in between the 2 heads on the rear head on the tranny side of the motor,

heres a pic of the wire and connector that broke off.

If I cant find out what it is, I will have to pull the ECU and check for continuity between the broke plug and the ECU wiring harness...any ideas
