Default New Member with Question

As my thread states, I am a new member here, so let me first just say, "Hello everyone." I have a question. I need to replace the #2 coil on my daughter's 2008 Sebring. That car has a Dual VVT 2.4 Liter in it. I would like to know how the engine cover is secured. Does it simply snap on? I don't see any fasteners holding it in place, and I am afraid I'll break it if I try prying it off. Thanks in advance for your help.

i have the same car as you and yes, the cover just pushes on. i think there are four stand offs that hold the cover on. just lift with a gentle hand but firmly at the fore corners and it will come off. the dip sticks may be removed or left in place as they will fit thru the holes in the cover. good luck.

Thanks, metalman.I finally just got brave and pulled it off of there because my daughter needed her car and we were experiencing temperatures in the double-digit range. It gets awfully hard to work when the temps are just above or even below zero, and you have no garage. Anyhow, I got her back on the road. No more misfire. Thanks again for the reply.
