If it were me, I'd utilize the procedure in the owner's manual to completely disable the headlight flash on locking and unlocking. Why wear out the headlights for that dumb "feature"? Disable the horn chirp while you're at it. My airhead neighbor insists on beeping her stupid horn two or three times every time she comes and goes no matter what hour of the day or night.
You can hear the locks click. What's the point in announcing it to the whole neighborhood?
BTW, have you checked the headlight for complete function, both high and low beams?
