Default 07 Grand Voyager stow and go no Sound

I have a 07 Grand Voyager, all was fine until the radio stopped working... All the front display works lovely, it thinks its playing but no sound. I have been trawling the net for solution to no avail. Its a CRD.

No relay for the speaker system is present... Does this mean it is not the infinity system.

It does cut back in every now and again - but not for long at all

The amplifier for the system is behind the trim panel on the driver's side by the rear seats.

If it's not working for radio,cd or anything then that's the place to start. check for power to it and that the pci bus connection is good.

circuit diagrams can be found here

Just taken the rear panel off and there is nothing there - no amp? Is it behind the speaker?

If this is an intermittent fault and your GV has the Chrysler SatNav fitted, then updating the SatNav firmware will probably cure the problem. Firmware updates are supplied on the latest SatNav CD's.

Sorry no Satnav - and when I use the term intermittent - that may have been the wrong word to use as 99% of the time it doesnt work and then it will work for 5 mins and then not work again for another 2 days...

So no Sat Nav - and no rear amp to the rear of the driver, just one thought I am in the UK so, maybe tomorrow I should check the passenger side....

There is one thing - as I tried to put it back together, it seemed as if I may have been a bit harsh with the clips... I simply pulled the rear panel off with some gentle forceful persuasion, should I have undone some screws as well... it seemed to come away with a snap, and now just flops about... Just thought I would check before I try the same on the other side tomorrow

the audio system starts at Image-rs704702.pdf. Each diagram has the title at the top. It doesn't take long to scroll through them

Is there a special tool / method so as I don't break this side when taking off?
