1992 T&C Transmission Not Engaging
A few weeks ago when I got home, I pulled in to my driveway and put my 1992 Town & Country in park, and when I took my foot off the brake, it was in reverse. At the time, I thought I just hadn't moved the shift lever far enough, so I shifted it into drive and then back in to park and it seemed fine.
I came home yesterday, and when I put it in park, it lurched backwards several times (sounded like it was partially in reverse) so again I reshifted and it seemed okay.
When I went to leave last night, it no longer drives. I can shift gears, but they are either not shifting properly, or are stuck somehow. The van can not be budged when it is neutral or drive (front wheels are locked) and when it is in park, the front wheels spin freely.
There are no engine error codes when doing the error code check by turning the key five times.
How much trouble does it sound like I'm in? Would this be an easy fix, or is it going to be a rebuild of my transmission? What can I check to try to make it go again?

Could it be that the shift linkage has gotten out of whack? Take a look at the mechanical levers that connect the shift lever in the car to the transmission itself. If that's not connected/adjusted properly, you could get the symptoms you describe.
