1996 T&C Alarm issues

When we try to unlock the van using the key, the alarm will sound. Also the doors will try to re lock. The interior lights are also not working..Help?

Will it not unlock with the fob as key will set alarm off.

No. There is no response to the fob; even with a new battery.
