Default Playing iPhone in Grand Voyager via Rear RCA (Phono) Jacks?

Hi All,

Just splashed out on an iPhone and want to listen to all my downloaded stuff, so I bought a iPhone - RCA AV cable thinking I could just plug it into the phono sockets next to the 12v socket on the rear door pillar.

Damn ... no sound and no apparent way to select the channel. My RB3 just goes from LW, MW, FM, CD, CDC and back to LW when I press "Mode"

Any clues anyone, pretty please?

Cheers

Graham

As I understand it, the plugs in the rear are only dvd outputs.
Apparently you can splice into the audio feed from the DVD to RB3 Headunit, and plug your Iphone in there.
This is something that I might do soon.

Hmm... not according to the label on top of the DVD unit. It shows "Aux In L&R + Video) which connects to the phono sockets on the door pillar (I know, I buzzed them out yesterday), therefore suggesting these are in fact inputs. But, still I can't get the system (RB3 head unit or Mopar DVD player) to recognise an input from the aux. I have tried playing just audio and also video out of my iPhone via the adapter, and with the sound cranked, as per a previous post....nothing.

I wonder, I don't have a remote for the system... is it something that is only accessed by a button press on there... please, anyone using the aux inputs, for external DVD or playstation or some other input, share the secret :-(

Cheers

Graham.

Default I stand corrected said the man in the orthopedic shoes

Hi Graham

Went out to the car at lunch, you were right
Theres a button on the remote to switch to aux
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0-DI4_kw076U1hFVFByY3hUN09RRDAwSkVpZGhxQQ

Also found the manual for the dvd system
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0-...Q1BRamZJbmVjQQ

Theres no other way, unless you can get a universal remote to play with.

The bad news for me is that I now need to source some chrysler headphones, I was thinking that i could plug into these connectors....

Thanks for the reply (Sorry it's bween a while getting back, I have been away for work!) - My next question, then is a bit of a cheeky one, given that I called the dealer to find out that a new R/C is £85!!!!!..... does anyone out there have an R/C for a RB3 that is near to Southend-on-Sea and wouldn't mind letting me snaffle it for a few hours to "learn" against a £10 programmable device I can get from Maplins?

Beer will be provided... Cheers!
