Default 1st post - 2002 power sliding door lock question

Great forum! Just purchased a 2002 T&C EX with 62k miles. Having a couple of problems with the driver side power window and the driver side power sliding door lock.

I've done some searching and I think the power window issue can be attributed to the motor. I'm going to work on that tomorrow.

I have a question in regards to the power door lock on the driver side power sliding door. All other locks open and lock with the key fob or by manually pushing the lock button. The lock on the driver side power sliding door will only lock and unlock manually, but it does look like it moves just slightly when I push the lock button. Any sugesstions on what I should be looking to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Do I need to check for loose wires or lube the actuator? Any steps or procedures would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I fixed the power door lock today onthe drivers side sliding door, it was in fact the actuator. I was able to buy the actuator from my local stealership for $113, ouch!! I could have gotten it for $85 on-line, but I was impatient and wanted to fix the door today. The entire latch assembly was $175, double ouch!

I had a similiar problem with the passanger sliding door on my 2006. Looked like the lock would try to electrical loce/unlock, but would not completely do the job. For some reason, the battery ran down. I put anotherbattery in temporary amd the lock started working ok. Pit orginal battery back in and still works. Is there something that could have reset by taking out battery?
