Default 2002 Voyager: weird chemical smell inside.

I have an odd problem, since last Thursday there is a very strong chemical smell inside my Chrysler Voyager. It's smells like solvent or cleaning fluids but it's definetly not fuel or coolant.
The smell is persistent even when the engine isn't running/hot and is very strong even after the car has been parked up for overnight.
I have searched all over the car if there has been anything spilled but haven't been able to locate any specific source. It's *not* a petrol smell and i've siphoned some of the coolant out of the reservoir and that's a different smell.
I am at a loss to what it can be and wonder if anyone on this forum might have a reasonable idea as to what could be causing this.
