Default 2003 T&C, keep blowing blower motor resistors

Ok, one day on our ltd with auto temp control, the fan just started blowing constantly and on max when climate control was off.
I did some research online and it looked like a blower motor resistor.

I ordered one from rockauto, put it in and it worked like a charm, for about an hour. Then all of a sudden, same thing, constant speed, or max when climate control was off.
So, I thought maybe I got a dud, got it exchanged for a brand new unit, installed it, worked for the test drive to gas station, then I shut the van off, started it back up, fan blowing at max again.

I tried switching the relays in the fuse box, same behavior with all.

So, what am I doing wrong? Are my resistors being overloaded and blown?
TIA

I see now that it could be a faulty blower. (Drawing too much power.)
How difficult is it to replace that?

that year should just remove the lower part of the dash on pass side and remove motor.

Thumbs up Got it replaced

Ok, got the new controller and blower in today, wasn't too bad.

If anyone stumbles on this post in the future, the vent cover goes to the right, when you're putting it all back together.

Everything worked as expected so, let's hope it stays that way.

One last question... What to do with the old resistor and blower motor? Can they be recycled? Will Autozone or similar outfit take them, or just chuck them?
