Hmm, interesting.

Yes I'd agree that doesn't look good, and especially water damage, that's exactly what I'd expect to caues a bit of crazy CANBUS action.

However, I'd expect with the unit unplugged it to complain about a fault but not keep going crazy, but as you say you're buying a new wiring harness as there probably is water in that cabling and it wouldn't take much to cause the fault you describe as it's quite a sensitive computer network.

The bsm harness must be bad. After I cut the bad connector off the harness and wiggled and tugged around the harness the van is not acting weird. I also inspected the harness around the lift gate module and motor and all appeared to be normal. And fyi u don't have to have a scan tool to find a bad wire or module. The CAN IHS should read 2.5vdc with the vehicle running. U can start disconnecting mods until the voltage is back up to normal. Conquer and divide

This has happened twice within the last week, we can be driving at any speed and the dash/warning lights start flashing, a/c shuts down, wipers turn on/off and no speedo. I know i dont need to elaborate on the dangers/inconvience of no speedo but what the heck is going on. Of course its out of bumper to bumper warranty at 54,ooo but its only 2 years old. This is my first chrysler purchase(owned for 6m) an have been satisfied upon till now. The dealer wants me to bring it in for diagnostics and reflash the PCM, but after reading older complaints on the 4th gen models about wiring issues (specifically at the drivers door harness) i doubt a PCM flash will work and definately dont wont to pay for it if its not fix. Could it be a wiring issue after only 2 years of being on the road? any help would be appreciated

Things ive checked so far:
battery charges at 13.9vdc
cleaned battery terminals and leads
wiggled, poked and prodded wire harness connectors look for loose connections
adam... i am no mechanic and know very little about auto electrics but i remember our older t&c van doing this kinda stuff some years back.... very weird and all i remember is my local shop said the clock spring had failed... some kind of switch in the steering wheel i think...might have nothing to do with your problem but i remember well when demons invaded our van and that;s what it was....maybe others on here can elaborate a little... keep us informed

the problem was the driver side blind spot sensor and the associated harness in the rear bumper, i have removed the bad sensor and isolated the harness and the van is back to normal, minus the BSM system not working.

What a messed up electricity problem. I am pretty new to cars and I am terrified about something electrical going down because I only know how to change a bulb haha. I have friends who are obsessed with cars and they know what to do in order to solve almost everything. I am envying them, to be honest. But it's okay. There is nothing to despair. Every time that I encounter a problem, I call someone from https://bates-electric.com/locations/minneapolis-mn/ and they manage to fix the issue in no time. It's important to work with professionals in any domain. They definitely know what they are doing
