Default Body Control Module

The body control module went out again this week after it's second replacement. What could be causing this? I just want it fixed...it is scary driving a car with this issue.

Model year and symptoms would help.

Might be a long shot, but does the coolant water bottle overflow/exhaust/outlet (whatever it is) pipe point straight onto a rather large loom of wires that have 'joining' tape around them?

This is what I found on mine, and discovered water droplets always sat on this cable/joint. I redirected the overflow pipe elsewhere and my BCM doesn't seem to go nuts as often as it used to.

Coincidence possibly, worth a go? probably!

How long did the first replacement BCM last? Was any maintenence performed just prior to the start of this?

The BCM gets power directly off the battery bus from 4 sources. Did any of the 4 fuses blow?

BCM fuses:
40 amp fuse #20
20 amp fuse #24
40 amp fuse #19
15 amp fuse #14 (IOD)

Did any other systems die such as power doors, door locks, brake lights, interior lighting, turn signals, power outlets, etc?

When you say the A/C died does that mean blowing hot air or no air at all? Any other heater A/C panel functions stop working?

What I'm getting at is it appears (looking at wiring diagrams) the Front Control Module (FCM) may be just as likely a culprit. More info will help determine that.
