hi all im after some advice my mate has a 2006 chrysler grand voyager and it was running fine until yesterday when he started it the engine was not running smooth on idle or when he is below 2000rpm. however when he is above 2000rmp the engine seems to run better but there are clouds of thick black smoke coming from the exhaust. anyone got any ideas what could be causing this i thought possible the timing ???

 

Take it that it's a diesel? EGR valve needs cleaning? Change fuel/air filter and clean Maff! Run some BG244 in the fuel. Try some Shell V-power love juice in her! Any fault codes come up?
