Clean Contacts
2.8Td Grand Voyager
Hi guys/girls.
Ive been having problems with different things at different times. It was driving me nuts. I was told to clean the contacts under the fuse box, which I did I even cleaned the ECU contacts and the contacts on the injectors, fuel pressure sensor and the cam position sensor. Basically if it has a connector I cleaned it with contact cleaner and a cotton buds (Q tip). Wow what a difference. so far not a bit of trouble. I'm a happy chappy.

Age of your car, what problems you had and any faults logged would help us for future reference.
Yes the IPM fuse box contacts may have caused loads of problems for many people in the past and I bet some have sold their cars for spares due to not getting faults sorted.
Good Chappy BEE, Thanks.

Really, because a car (esp. in the underbonnet/hood area) is so hostile to simple plug/socket interconnects, again esp. if they are right next to the battery with its inevitable acid fumes causing subtle corrosion, the interconnects should be more appropriate.
These should be positively held together with an eyelet on the lead, and small nuts and washers to fasten. Such are easily available in the electronics business and are not expensive.
Then there might be an end to all those irritating gremlins that seem to plague our cars.
