Code P0601 Runs rough speedo not working
My 2001 Grand Voyager (European build) is presenting P0601. Dash lights went crazy flashing off and on. Then speedo stops and it decides to run a little better (still jerking) then speedo comes back on again and the motor runs rough and feels like it's going to stall. I have checked the obvious like the fuel rail harness, plugs and leads cables running near crossover exhaust pipe and all seems ok. The airbag light is now continuously on. The battery is fully charged
My PCM part number is 04748431AC. I have found a few with same part numbers except for the last two letters. Some finish with AL or AN. Can anyone inform me what the difference is with these last two digits?
I am thinking it may be updates made to the unit??.
My Voyager has the EGR and is a 09/2001 build date.
Any suggestions on other items to check before I go out and replace the PCM?
Thanks
Les

I take it yours is a petrol?
The last 2 letters are the revision numbers, the higher the later. Not too familiar with the petrol engines, but you might have a few problems with the immobiliser of you change just the PCM, diesels need the ECU, BCM and SKRIM/SKREEM changed together or reprogrammed.
But with a P0601 then it's a fair bet the PCM is knackered, unless it's supply voltage is fluctuating.

Thanks for the reply.
It's a 3.3 petrol engine.
Does not have a grey key so no SKIM to worry about.
I remember reading of one guy with a similar problem and he replaced his PCM 3 times and then he discovered a wiring problem that the dealer fixed at a cost of about $900. He could not remember what or where the wiring problem was
He also experienced the cruise light coming on when it started to stumble. Mine does that as well.
