Default Disconnect steering column shaft from rack?

2000 T&C, 3.8, shaft coming out of driver's side of steering rack really moves side to side and clunks. Went to change it out tonight and found that there is a large, hard plastic cover over the shaft where the steering column shaft attaches to the rack. This hides the no roll pin locking the steering column to the rack shaft. Broke the plastic away to reveal the no roll pin. Tried forever to get it out with any type of little press I could come it with and couldn't get it. I can't reach back there from the top decent with a C-clamp and sockets. How do I get that pin out?
