Default ecu unit

Hello.
I am very new to this and i came across this forum via google.
I recently bought my first chrysler and i was delighted with it.I bought it for buissiness purposes as we have a taxi business here in the UK.However we had to have a taxi meter fitted by law and while it was in the work shop the ecu unit failed, resulting in in haveing to be changed. The auto electrical fitter who undertook the job said that he was not responsible for any damage to the vehicle even though he was working on the cars electricsas the voyerger was a rubbish car and it was well known that the ecu unit was faulty on this car.Can anyone please help me to find out how reliable the ECU unit on the voyerger LE 3.3C 1998 modle.I am haveing no luck here in the UK trying to find help.Or can anyone help me find anyone who can help me find the information i need.
Many thanks for your help
Michelle

look at how he wired it up see what color wires he tapped into. As for the ecu they are for more advnced in electronics than any other car maker. Chrysler spent more money on the computers for math like speed density fuel control. I have been a tech for 11 years 9 times out of 10 its not the computer. Either he wired something wrong or something along that line.

Hi many thanks for replying.
He bared back a number of wires to try to locate a pulse wire to connect the taxi meter to.He said that he did not know chryslers wireing colours so it would be trial and error.Do you think this would be enough to make the unit fail?
Many thanks for your help.
Regards Michelle
