Grand Voyager No starter action after simple oil change
#2
Hi! everybody
Sorry for first incomplete message
Grand voyager 2.8 Diesel year 2007. Car lifted from side with jack for oil change and nothing else.
Filled with correct quantity of oil.
(Nothing unusual during operation unless the lowering of the jack that might have been considered abrupt.)
Immediately after this common operation, impossible to start engine.
When turning ignition everything , all lights were as usual. But when the starter was activated nothing happened.
During attempt to activate starter battery voltage stays OK does not drop . But nothing happens. Just the "clic!" of a relay is heard.
Is there a security device or mechanical "shock" switch which might have been activated by the release from the jack?
Has anyone observed this phenomenon or have any idea what it might be?
Thank you for your help.

Thanks for your answer joker2cv
No. It did not crank at all. Just a relay that went "clic!" when attempting to start.
In fact it's my brother's car and he lives very far from my place.
I asked him on the phone your question about the red indicator but he could not be affirmative .
The reason is that meanwhile he succeded in starting by inversing the "starter" relay and the "accessory" relay.
He then tested both relays without any conclusion, so he will replace both.
For the time being the car seems to work. We'll see
Thanks again.
