Default Headlight switch has stopped working

My headlights are very dim when i turn them on and can not light more than 1 metre ahead. The only way for the lights to work is if I put them on full beam and if they are on full beam they are to bright.

I think that maybe a wire is loose or a fuse but I am not sure any Ideas????

magadu2002,

Have you checked the fuses?
There may be a set of fuses for the low beams that are separate from the highs.
Also, as Vmaxxer suggested, check the bulbs!

The switch itself is not even turning the lights on or off.

I will check fuses and bulbs tomorow

I found this online:
The headlights in your Town and Country are controlled by the Front Control Module (FCM). When you turn on the lights, the switch sends a signal to the FCM over the vehicle's communication network. The FCM may have failed, or may have locked up electrically. Try this: disconnect the battery for about 2 minutes and then reconnect it. This may reset the FCM and may start working again. If it does not, then the FCM may need to be replaced. But before you replace it, have the dealer connect their scan tool and check the status of the FCM. It is possible that their is a communication issue between the switch and the FCM.

magadu2002,

Sounds like a resistance issue, whether on a wire or at a connector. There is an issue with the fuse box terminals.
