HAVING LOTS OF PROBLEMS WITH GLITCHES ECT replaced to a new battery before xmas and i thought that had sorted it but they have all come back
1 cenral locking stops ( have to pull the fuse to reset the bcm
2 rear wiper sometimes works and sometimes dont
3 drivers heated seat sometimes works but mostly doesnt
and now this issue
all this points to the BCM think im going to have to bite the bullet and go to the steelers and see if they can update my BCM as i have heard this may cure some issues

DEFO. check for corroded contacts/connexions. Also check the engine/gearbox ground strap is good and tight at both ends. If not, the starter motor with its huge drain can put glitches on the 12volt rail when the micros are at their most vulnerable, i.e. the 12volt line dragged down to 9volt or so by the starter motor.

- crappy battery
- crappy IPM contacts
- crappy PCi / CAN BUS *
In that order, then look at the more difficult and expensive area's. Eliminate your battery being permanently on the edge, then the IPM in general, particularly underneath, then the computer BUS. I've no idea if you are CAN or PCi. I've never ever seen any error in the overhead display [#1]. All the problems in #4 could be any of the above but are likely to be the computer bus integrity itself or spikes from your alternator or voltage interfering with the BUS.
